"All by itself that is a huge step. Do not undervalue it."

Hard to undervalue something I believe has no value, isn't it?

By definition, "sham elections" are worthless. This was a worthless election, but worse because it made Americans think this was actually a positive thing for Iraqis. It isn't. Nothing will change in Iraq until the US occupation forces are gone, gone, gone, no matter how many elections are held in Iraq.

Why? Because the Iraqi "government" being elected has no power. The Americans have all the power. Any and every single member of the so-called government will do what they are told, and nothing more. There is no autonomy whatsoever.

Which is why this election is a sham. The US was calling the shots today, just like they were on Friday. That won't change, no matter how many puppet governments get voted in and out in this game.

You election cheerleaders keep forgetting about that too, doncha? You think because people actually showed up to vote when told to do so, that it Means Something. It doesn't.

GI Joe is still in charge in Iraq, and will be for a long time to come. NOT the Iraqi government. Capiche?
