Subject: RE: BS: The most obnoxious famous I've met
One summer bout 20 years ago, I worked for a company that booked large musical gatherings of all kinds- rock n' roll, country, that sort of thing. Usually had at least 20 bands over a 2-3 day weekend, and at least 50k people. My job started out as one of the "problem solvers" that tried to keep everything on track, esp when something went wrong. After a couple weeks, I got a "promotion" in pay to take a different job. When one (or more) of the performers got pi**ed off, they were to call me and I'd go listen to them. That's all, just listen. Wasn't supposed to say anything, just stand there and say things like, "you're right", "I'm sorry", "That shouldn't have happened" That sorta thing. It was supposed to let them get it out of their system and calm them down before their time on stage, or get them to be rational before bringing in my boss so they didn't holler at him.

I found out something interesting to me. I'd say about 80% of the cause of their uproar and anger was because of obnoxious fans. So since that time, I've given professional's a little more latitude about their behavior because it may not be all their fault.

There are some, however, that are so full of themselves that they think everyone else is inferior.
