It's so good to get the background on this song.
Can anyone shed any light on the line:
As though he were a charm/as though to me a charm.

It sounds awkward. What does it mean? Does anyone ever say that? Is it just for the sake of a rhyme?

(I've always been drawn to this song for reasons that I don't think I should share here. But that's another story.)

Cheers, Joy
