Cathie Ryan behaved very rudely to a sound tech at a festival once. He didn't have the kind of microphone she wanted (and had specified in her contract), but it wasn't his fault, it was the organizers of the festival who didn't provide the right equipment. As a matter of fact, the sound tech was a volunteer and doing his best with what he had. He worked patiently with her but she talked down to him like a dog and was very insulting - not vulgar but condesending. He was totally disgusted when she made a point of sweetly thanking the sound crew when she was up on stage in front of the audience, after she had acted in such a way when nobody was looking.
