I'm with Ron (AGAIN) on this one. I know Cathie Ryan, have been in Festivals with her, helped her book festivals, had dinner with her and the band,and would hazard the following. Cathie is one of those performers that is intensely involved in the presentation of her music, as she loves it passionately. She feels the same way about the audience. I don't think I have ever seen a performer connect any better. Period. In all circumstances she was professional, and on the personal level she was charming, gracious and friendly.

I don't doubt that Mary saw what she saw. But as a performer, and as a person that knows Cathie, I am certain that she was very disappointed, and probably had a bad day. I am certain this has happened to most of us that perform on a professional level. Where I disagree mightily with Mary is in the characterization as the most obnoxious ever. Anyone who has met her and knows her would not only disagree, they would object strenously.
