Sorry I forgot to put a name to my last post John. I'm just tallking about a straight copy-paste going wrong for me.

I have since tried the same op (which is a copy/paste from what we see here - view/source was an attempt to see what might be wrong) on IE6 on Win2K pro and that works OK but what I was using before (Firefox on Suse 9.2 Linux) still fails. I could be wrong but do suspect the difference boils down to something like a difference in the way non-visual things get carried into the clipboard rather than an error in your production of the abc.
