Bert, I have the greatest respect for you. You are an excellent performer, and I don't disagree she made an error IF it all happened as stated.

BUT

The microphone was stipulated to in the contract. That means that everyone knew it was expected, and she had a reasonable expectation (in fact, contractural expectation) that it would be provided. Cathie is one of the great women singers in her genre in the world. Every part of the setup is important to her. Just because it makes no difference to guys like you and me, doesn't mean it's inconsequential to her. The sound person didn't deserve ire, but I repeat, if it happened that way it was totally out of character of Cathie. She is a very gracious person.
