At a moment of real desperation in my life, with no money, and the need to get a car in order to move out of my house during a first marriage, I bought a Pontiac convertible. Don't remember the year. For someone who deliberated on whether or not they could afford to buy a candy bar, driving a car that got 8 miles to a gallon was the ultimate cruelty. After I'd had the car a couple of weeks, I started getting sick to my stomach at the rancid smell, so I pulled out the front floor mats. Much to my disgust, there was an interwoven web of sickly white mushrooms covering the floor. They gave off the stench that I imagine rotting flesh would exude, and they looked like it.

Ecch!!!!

I was blessed when the car just collapsed about a month after I bought it, and I had to junk it.

Brrrr.........gives me the creeps even thinking about it.
