I am amazed, I have never worried about cleaning a bow.......

Mine has mark where the thumb sits but other than that if it builds up too much rosin I don'tr rosin it until it starts to skid, I never touch the hair wiht hands or anything other than Rosin or Strings!

That is what it is designed for!
