Absolutely not. There is excellence in all things, and mediocrity as well. Because something is BS does not mean it must be mediocre!!

There is plenty of mediocre BS out there, no mistake. Obscure back-handed humor without any recognizable context, snide degradations disguised as jokes, certain people's obsession with gutter-talk are examples. Even without these there is plenty of uninspired humor or BS that is well conceived but poor in execution. But truly elegant and excellent BS knows no bounds and combines the very best of overtones, semantics, harmonious phonemic structures, alliteration, and rhetorical power in one FELL swoop.
