You see, it's like this. When people responded to the "How Many Spatulas Do YOU Own???" thread, they were only counting the spatulas in their kitchens. Just about everyone had neglected all the old worn-out spatulas that had been pressed into service in workshops, artist's studios and potting sheds. Those disenfranchised spatulae became angry and began to infiltrate other Mudcat threads.

All spatula counters have been asked to ammend their counts to include toolshed spatulae, so as to promote peace within the spatula community.
