"Dippy eggs" are eggs fried sunnyside up, a little on the undercooked side

Dare I contest this? My understanding (UK) is that they are eggs which are boiled for the appropriate time, (consensus is just over three minutes) and then the bread, buttered, toasted or both, is cut into "soldiers", pieces about 2.00 - 2.5 inches long and about 0.5 inches across. These are dipped into the yolk.

Hence the phrase "dippy eggs".

QED. I'll get mi coat.
