We had one of those in the street I used to live on. Bloody annoying it was too, because it was just outside the house, where it would have been useful for finding keys in the dark, but sure enough, every time I walked past it, fumbling for the right key, the damn blasted thing went off! Now I don't live there, it stays on, whenever I walk past it, and I'm sure I can hear it sniggering.....

If you think that is annoying though, try living in a place that has a pedestrian crossing just outside the window. Not only do you get the jolly change of colour as the lights change, but you also get the beeping sound that accompanies the 'walk' sign.....LTS
