Play a cheap instrument, like a Penny Whistle.
Do not consider the pints as hobby, they are definitely food.
Therefore, trips to the pub for the pints do not count as hobby - it is essentially the same as going to the supermarket to buy other foodstuff.
The music in the pub is just a free extra you get ;-)
