Mine is spruce top, with sides and back which look like sycamore (striated grain with radial lines like many violin backs), rosewood fretboard, and of course that problematic long headstock.

The tone is classical, and very clean and bright.

BTW I have been offered much more than £700 for it, but that's academic as it will never be for sale.
