One mudcatter in particular has a very loud voice. I am referring to Richard Bridge, who sings at most of the venues that I attend regularly. I can't recall ever having heard any comments, adverse or otherwise, on the volume. We are generally too busy enjoying the songs he performs to notice. And he does, like most good singers, exercise control to suit the song. It's not how loud that matters, it's how melodious.
