Sonnet 02/02/04                         DCCCLXXV

Sweet vision of all that my heart desires,
You fill my dreams. How can I hope to show
What your smile means, or let the whole world know
How much I value you, that verse inspires?
You give reason for future hope, and send
The soul of spring to heart. What might I say
That would my longings show? Can my lines sway
My fate, that I might feelings to page lend?
The thought of you lends light to dawn, to find
The destination of my dreams. I pray
For smile, and laughter: You are muse, to play
Upon my soul; To give hopes or keep blind.
My dearest muse, what might I send, to tell
How much my heart wants to be under spell?
