You don't want to be dragging opera into this. There, you meet someone, fall in love within a few seconds, sing about it alot and then one of the following will happen.

They turn out to be you long lost brother/sister.

They're about to be sent to to the army/a nunnery etc.

They turn out to be a God playing silly buggers.

They turn out to be a member of the same sex as you, playing silly buggers.

They're a normal person, except some God, witch, etc is plying silly buggers with them.


Unless of course, one of the above happens to you instead....
