See the earlier thread Stockport Polka. The tune was picked up by a number of ceilidh bands and we used to play it in sessions; but, despite the alternate titles I don't know if it really pre-dates the Jona Lewie record or not. Everybody I know seems to have learned it from him, though the short third part is usually dropped.
