Don't know if this is any help but if I want to change a midi into an mp3 (on my Mac) I
just drag it in to iTunes and save as an mp3 or m4a and then it can be burned as usual.
The snag is that while this does nothing to the midi by way of improvemet (or deterioration),
it does make the file a LOT larger.
