Yup. And they both stem from ingnorance of the true nature of Life itself. They both stem from an ego that thinks it is irrevocably separate and alone...in a dangerous and probably pitiless World. If that ego conceives of a "God", then it conceives of a God as judgemental and nasty as itself...but far more powerful. That's a no-win situation.
