If you read Dita's posts you may pick up the fact that he's complaining about the way it's organised, and the onerous conditions imposed upon artists who appear, which would seem to be an unfair restriction on trade, both for the artists and the other venues concerned. The way to ensure full houses for events is to book good artists, not to adopt the seige mantality of not allowing them to play in the vicinity for X number of months/weeks around your event.
