Well, Mudcatters, Andres does exist, and is a fine gentleman in his own right. It is a pity we only had a few minutes to exchange contraband, but we have vowed to descend into the depths next time around. When I saw him last he was working his way into the top choir in the country -- which, given the sophistication of Argentineans, is something. Also, alas, I didn't get to hear him sing. That too, awaits.

Andres, now that I have these great albums (by Leon Gieco), you have to give me some information -- for instance, is the Canterville Ghost Victor Jara? Which of the songs is the most famous (or, to put it another way) which did the Argentinean military hate the most? From the liner notes I can see that he was in big trouble from time to time -- are some of these coded songs?

un abrazo, Peter
