I really enjoyed it too – particularly since I didn't move to the UK until 1998-ish; it filled in a number of the (many) gaps in my knowledge of the UK folk scene in the 60s & 70s. I especially appreciated a chance to hear clips of/anecdotes about Tony Capstick; as I live in Sheffield now, I've heard his name mentioned frequently, but not had much idea of who he was – not to mention how brilliant he was.

My only complaint is that I wish the programme had been a bit more positive about folk music itself. The general attitude seemed to reinforce the already (sadly) prevalent notions that folkies/folk music are/is a bit bizarre and/or boring and take themselves too seriously – and, therefore, are/is not worth taking very seriously.

In spite of that, I found it an extremely interesting and entertaining programme. Do try to listen to it while it's still available (not sure how long that will be!).
