Poor Myrtle sits a weeping,
Whilst the folkies begin to play
At Walesby Village Hall
This coming Mothering Sunday

She will sit and eat her dinner
With her Mom and Dad from York
Lots of sprouts, carrots and peas
I almost forgot to mention the pork

No doubt we folkies
Will raise a glass for her
