Sonnet 26/02/04                   DCCCLXXXIV

How can I ask my muse to give me all
That I would wish of her? I know her soul
Has more than love enough, but can dream call
For such sweet passion without paying toll?
Forgive me, that I let desires free
To chase after these dreams, and perhaps go
Where they may not be welcome. Would I be
A greater fool, though, to not my dreams show?
She has the power to all of light end,
And more, to offer heart's desire. She holds
My soul: She has the choice, to passions lend,
Or keep my heart in dream that hope enfolds.
How can I think of asking what is real?
Can any of my dreams future reveal?
