Need Monday's to get over the hangover earnt on the Sunday, ditto Sunday is needed to recover from Saturday, likewise Saturday is needed to recover from Friday.....if you took Monday out it would break the whole chain.

Mind you if you get rid of Monday then a year would be about 60 weeks long making each month a regular 5 weeks, so then you could count the weeks more easily on your fingers...... OK I'll sod off
