Thread Name: Review: Spurious Kurdish musicians & Art in Hull
Subject: RE: Review: Spurious Kurdish musicions & Art in H
Proud Kurdish Refugee: you sugested in your other threads(list of messages) that I should listen to Zakariya, Hassan Sharif, Jala, and Diyar. I dont know any of those musicians, but I will certainly take your advice and try to hear them. Do you know where I could find their recordings, in England?
I should be interested to know what you think of the following musicians, if you know them (I may have got spellings a bit wrong):
Adnan Karim(oud and singer)
Najmadin Gholami singer
Kamal Muhammed singer
(all in Sweden I think)

Ayub Ali singer in Birmingham
Tara Jaf
harp and singer in England
Goran oud in Holland
Khalid Sarkar clarinet(in London?)

Kamkaran group (in Iran, perhaps?).
What do you think of them, would you say they were good or bad?
