Where the bigotry/hypocrisy enters the picture is when you only focus on the destructive behaviors of some people, while completely ignoring the same or equally destructive behaviors of other people, including members of your own group, and at the same time, ignoring the vast majority of the people in the group you are afraid of who are not guilty of the things you are criticizing.
