You have completely misunderstood my point, Dianavan. I have been making fun of Boab's formulation The present anti Syrian demos are being held by a minority of the populace.. All demonstrations I have ever heard of are held by a minority of the populace (I consider that a fact and not an assumption), even the very large one yesterday in Lebanon, so that argument sounds (but I guess is meant differently) stupid. The interesting thing is whether the demonstrators represent a feeling shared by the majority of the population.

I have too often heard the argument by our government that when, say 500,000 demonstrated against US weapons in Germany that meant that 59 Million staying home supported the politics of the government. Boab's formulation reminded me of that argumentation.
