If their banners were in English, it means that they were consciously delivering a message to the western media, doesn't it? This seems appropriate, since the western media had already given a great deal of positive attention to the previous demonstrations, held by opposing factions.

If I were in the pro-government forces, I would sure as hell make sure that some of the banners were in English...otherwise the western media could just say it was another anti-government demonstration, and who would know differently over here? Sounds like a smart move to have English signs to me.

But, if they're Hezbollah, then they must all be evil people, right? :-)
