You have a legitimate point there, David, albeit expressed in a somewhat unorthodox manner. But I still think socks with sandals looks dumb. So, to make sure my toes stay nice and bacteria-free for sucking purposes, I wear condoms on them when I wear sandals. I prefer the brightly colored condoms. Different color for each toe. You can use kiddy balloons for the little toe if a condom is too big.
