Last month the local symphony youth group had a recital at which the haughty and somewhat affected concert mistress announced that her group of ten year old violin players would now perform a tune entitled "Boil Those Cabbages Down". I nearly blew it, sitting in the proper and proud parent audience, snorking over her version of Bile Them Cabbage Down.
