Yes, usually because my first draft is more waspish than I intended, or because on re-reading, it I decide that I may irritate someone needlessly (I don't mind irritating them if I think it needful), or because I think the written English is poor (I usually try to write in the very best English that I can, much better than my spoken English), or because I decide it is really none of my business (such as American internal politics, for instance).
I can live with pissing people off, I just try not to do it for no reason.
