BSeed - Your lyrics problem -

It's a matter of punctuation. The line as I hear it is:

When he said, "What in heaven" she made no reply, up her mind, and a dash for the door.

It should probably be in outline form:

When he said, "What in heaven" she made:

1) no reply;

2) up her mind; and

3) a dash for the door.

That's how I've always understood it, anyway.
