there was a band back in the 60's they played a mixture of screaming distorted guitars and gentle sitar & tabla ragas. They made one album for DOT records in the states. They then disappeared. Rumours circulated among the hippie community that lead guitarist Amar Brady had been seen wandering around the Indian plains dressed as a lizard chanting "Vonting vonting" in the early seventies.

Some of the band re-formed in 1970 and appeared at the infamous Phun City festival in Sessex under a different name - Out Of Darkness I think.
