Today is a good day despite the fact that I am fiercely missing my brother - who died in 1999- because I am listening to songs on the tapes he and I made in the years of his illness. Listening to his now silenced voice- weary and shaken as it was- reminds me so forcibly of his absence.

On the other hand, it also reminds me of good times, lovely times.
