Too late now for our Norwegian friends but thinking of Alba's "gobsmacked" (regarding Taylors) above, last time I was in Galway I went to a most excellent and unpretentious session in the "Smack in the Gob" pub (up a side street I can't remember the name of and I also can't remember the actual Irish name for the pub!). Maybe Martin can help!
