My first real boyfriend was named Dave. I have known many Daves since, and it is my impression that dave-hood tends to bring with it a charismatic but tumultuous life replete with two-timing relationships, mental oddities, inability to follow through on projects and many clashes with the law. Is that painting with a broad enough brush?
