I get a laugh when something like chocolate cake is described as "better than sex." If anything is really better than sex, "that electric feeling" of contact between performer and audience might be the only qualifier.

But then, in addition to the non-physical thrill of contact with the audience group, there is also always the potential for eye-contact and more with an individual in the crowd, leading to greater and more immediate intimacy. So, you can have BOTH better-than-sex AND sex ~ sorta like having your cake and eating it too, double-chocolate or otherwise.
