Thread Name: Lyr Req: Our Anniversary (from Foster & Allen)
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Our Anniversary (from Foster & Allen)
OUR ANNIVERSARY is sung by Foster & Allen on "The Love Collection," "The Very Best of Foster & Allen, Vol. 3," "Memories," "A Collection of Love Songs," and "Faded Memories;" by Kenny Paul on "20 Greatest Songs;" and by Sean Wilson on "Keep on the Sunny Side." The best I could do was transcribe a short sound sample:

I still remember the vows we made, that our love would always be.
With God's help it's been, and it stayed that way. It's our anniversary.

Then there's this other song, which also seems to be popular among Irish country singers:

Found at Donal O'Shaughnessy's website:

IT'S OUR ANNIVERSARY
D. Wilson

May I say thanks for the years gone by
And all that you've been to me?
Today's our day. Let's relive the past.
It's our anniversary.

CHORUS: We've had our good times.
We've had our bad times.
We've had our ups and downs.
I never worried 'bout those ups and downs.
You were always around.

The greatest gift in the world you gave,
Gave to me so willingly.
Bless you and keep you for years to come.
It's our anniversary.

SECOND ENDING: I love you and I always will.
It's our anniversary.

[Sung by Sheila Noonan on "Wedding Song Collection," by Frank McCaffrey on "Golden Memories," "Thoughts of Yesterday," "The Very Best of Frank McCaffrey" and "Happy Anniversary;" and by Erin's Pride on "It's Our Anniversary."]
