Subject: Female singer: peace & love in the...
Hi all,

I heard a song on the radio here in Oz today. It was a woman with a country-sounding voice - could be American or could be using an American accent (it happens a lot over here, believe me). It was just her voice, a guitar (very sparse arrangement) and what sounded like a tin whistle in some verses. Some of the words of the chorus were something like:
there'll be peace & love in the (valley? I really couldn't make this word out)
and I will not be afraid.

I think there was something about being in the light too

I don't know much else to tell you. It isn't a radio station I listen to at all usually, but we were travelling back down from the mid-north coast so we were channel surfing as we went along. It was the Christian radio station so I am going to try to contact them and see if they can tell me who she was and the name of the tune, but they don't back anounce their songs (non-profit radio station - they often don't even have a DJ) so I don't hold out much hope for information.

It wasn't outstandingly beautiful or out of the ordinary but I suspect that if I can find it and listen to it again a few times it would definitely grow on me. I like the sparseness of the arrangement.

If you need to know more I'll see what else I can dredge up from my subconscious.

Hope you can help,

Helen
