Following on from the 'Trent and Mersey' thread, I would be very interested to hear of any regular folk clubs or sessions within walking distance of canals (or narrowboatable rivers).

I am fed up of arriving places by boat only to discover there was a folk club on the previous night!

Our boat is based on the Ashby canal but we go all over. The next trip planned is to the dry dock at the end of the Erewash for a dirty weekend (DIY bottom blacking).

Also, I get the impression there are a few other narrowboaters on mudcat - what are your boat names so I can look out for you? (ours is Cally Hanna)
