I assume that Shatner's hairline during Star Trek: TOS was more or less his own. But times and hairlines change. He really oughtta do something about that trained hamster he's using now.
The Picard Pompadour managed to become something of a sex-symbol. Since I tend to share Patrick Stewart's hairline, I consider this all to the good.
