Each time something like this comes up we have to ask ourselves what is folk music? Is it not the music of the folks based upon their experiences? Can this incident of life not be construed as an expresion or exchange of thoughts by 'folkies' which could possibly result in the creation of a new tune and lyrics much as many of our beloved folk songs did in the past?

Just as an example, suppose this forum had been around many years ago. Someone may have written in it about the engineer, harrased by management and forced to act beyond his capbilities and that of his equipment. The resulting accident could have been written in song and maybe titled "The Wreck Of The Old 97"
