If I'm seeing a band or performer that I haven't heard before then I'm expecting to hear unfamiliar material and I usually enjoy it. However when I go to hear someone I've heard before I like a mix. I like to hear the way THAT performer does THAT song and I want to hear it again.

When I'm performing I'd ideally like to do all new songs everytime but with time constraints that ain't possible and I prefer to do songs well. Now that I'm singing with a partner who's even pickier than I am, and we have to figure out arrangements, I'm even slower getting new songs worked up. But I like to think we sound quite good.
