Thread Name: Index: Carmina Princetonia 1894
Subject: RE: Review: Carmina Princetonia Index 1894
Many changes in a little over thirty years. Does anyone have the 1968 Centennial edition? Another forty years on, and what changes here? The 1868 first is a rare book, but I suppose Princeton and the NY Public Library would have copies.
The thread heading could he changed to "Carmina Princetonia Indexes" to cover the content. Joe?
Deletion of Poe's "The Raven" was noticeable to me. In the 1930s this was still a favorite recitation piece where I went to school. Replaced by "Mandelay"? "Son of a Gambolier" could have been replaced by "Rambling Wreck from Georgia Tech," but non-Ivy League schools are beyond the pale.
