I don't think anyone who objected to this discussion was male. Certainly, the single most vocal opponent was a woman, if I'm not mistaken.

Uncle DaveO's suggestion that this discussion belongs down in the BS section hardly counts. He always is quick to point out BS, and when he does so, he's almost always right ~ but he expresses no objection to continuing any discussion in the appropriate venue.
