I've been recycling for years and am glad that, in Maine, we have a good policy on this including curbside boxes and redemption centres. Carrier bags can be taken back to the supermarket as well.

We also use Goodwill and yard sales - I see these as a form of recycling in that unwanted items from one owner can find a new home rather than being trashed.
