Sonnet 09/07/04                         CMXXI

To rest my head on muse's lap, and see
Moonlight reflected from her eyes: I find
This dream far more than hope. But, can it be
That I will ever dreams free from just mind?
I long to give reason for smile, to win
The sight of sparkle in her caring eyes.
What might such hoped for dream hope to begin,
When all my study has not made me wise?
My muse is center of my dreams: The key
To vault of visions. Can I hope to hold
The one who holds my heart, or does my plea
Ask for more than dreams earn, to dream enfold?
I find true beauty in thought of my muse:
She is the one that my heart's desires choose
